Special to the Journal

AUBURN, Ala – The Auburn Tigers returned to the practice field late Tuesday afternoon after a two-day break, conducting a two-hour workout in full pads at the Auburn Athletics Complex Practice Fields.

“This was kind of our introductory day to Clemson,” said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. “We did a little bit of Clemson work and a little bit of us work. Overall, it was an OK day. I think we understand now how game week practices need to go. That was what we focused on tonight.

“Tomorrow is going to be similar to what we did today, a pretty physical practice. We’ll pick it up and we’ll be better tomorrow than we were today.” Auburn will practice again Wednesday afternoon.

Season tickets, six-game plans, three-game mini-packs and select single-game tickets for the 2012 Auburn football season are now available to the general public through the Auburn Athletics Department Ticket Office. All tickets can be purchased online at www.AUBTIX.com. For more information or questions regarding tickets, contact the ticket office by email at tickets@auburn.edu or by phone at 855-AUB-2010.

The Tigers open the season Saturday, September 1, facing Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.
