APD makes arrest in Barbeque burglary

Police arrested 45 year old Eugene Kennon Jr. around 9 Monday night for the burglary at Riverfront Barbeque early Sunday morning.  Officers are still looking for 36 year old Jomokenyette Tipton, who is being described as a “person of interest” and is wanted for questioning.

Kennon is accused of breaking into the popular downtown barbeque joint and stealing three cases of chicken, bypassing money or equipment.

APD is asking for the public’s help to find Tipton.  Anyone with information should call Criminal Investigation Bureau at (229) 431-3288, or by calling (229) 436-TIPS.
