The Kiwanis Club of Dougherty County will host the 16th annual Charles H. Smith Memorial Golf Tournament Monday, October 8, at Stonebridge Golf & Country Club.

The event will be a two-person scramble format, starting with a lunch cookout at noon and shotgun start at 1 p.m. Player entry fees are $75 per person and include green fees, cart, range, lunch, and refreshments, with plenty of great prizes awarded afterward.

In addition to player teams, hole sponsors are also being sought at the Gold ($500), Silver ($250), and Bronze ($125) levels.

Anyone with questions about the tournament or sponsorships may call Jay Carpenter, 229-344-4253, or Joan Seay, 229-888-7651.

Proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Dougherty County’s community service projects in Dougherty and Lee counties, with all proceeds invested back into the community.

Said Kiwanis DoCo’s 2012 fundraising chair Lance Barnes, “Please come out and support this event. Every sponsorship represents a helping hand in the Dougherty and Lee county communities.”
