Crimestoppers of Albany received a boost with a donation from Kiwanis Club ofDoughertyCountyon August 20. Crimestoppers seeks to reduce crime and increase public safety by offering rewards to citizens for anonymous tips that lead to arrests in criminal cases. Tipsters remain anonymous but receive a reference number that is then used to collect their reward after an arrest is made.
