Educator and Minister Ken DeLoach will formally qualify today as a candidate for the Republican nomination to become Georgia’s Second District Congressman. DeLoach sees individual Constitutional rights, energy, national defense and an aggressive reduction in the size and spending of the federal government as important issues that must be faced and dealt with as soon as possible.
DeLoach has traveled extensively throughout the 2nd District since announcing his campaign in February. DeLoach stated, “Jobs for the 2nd District has been our focus throughout our campaign, and we will not lose sight of the economic big picture here. That’s what the people of the 2nd District want and deserve.”
“We will also continue to shed light on the repeated failures of the Obama Administration and hold the president accountable for the loss of our constitutionally protected, God-given rights.” DeLoach added.
Deloach was one of five candidates introduced at a ceremony hosted by former presidential candidate Herman Cain in Washington D.C. in April. He is currently the Dean of Students and a teacher at Central Fellowship Christian Academy in Bibb County as well as Associate Pastor at River of Light Church in Warner Robins. He is also the former 1st Vice-Chairman of the Houston County Republican Party.
DeLoach married his wife, Lynn, in 1987. She is a registered nurse working as a travel nurse for a Bibb County company. Ken and Lynn have two sons; Caleb, 16; and, Andrew, 14.
