(Albany, GA) Local restaurant owner BJ Fletcher has been invited to speak
at the monthly meeting of the Albany Woman’s Club on Thursday, January 19,
2012 at 11:30am. Fletcher will deliver her speech entitled, “Patriotism and
What it Means to be a Good American,” to the attendees at the event. She
will also announce the opening of a new retail thrift and consignment store
that will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. Donations for new or
gently used home goods and household items will be accepted. Fletcher will
also provide a donation truck to collect the items. Future collection drive
dates to be announced.
The Wounded Warriors Project provides support and services to members of
the military and first responders who incurred a service related injury in
the line of duty. WWP extends assistance to warriors to aid them in
adjusting back into to their normal lives. A variety of programs are
offered to serve warriors with every type of injury, from physical to the
invisible wounds of war.
