This photo is of Robert Dukes, as a young lineman for the City of Albany circa 1948. Later in the 1960’s he was the assistant general manager of the Water, Gas and Light for city of Albany. During this time, he designed the Christmas lights that were displayed downtown. Those were the most popular Christmas decorations in Albany and were once displayed in a national magazine. Some of those same decorations are still used by the city of Sylvester today. This is one of many photos that can be found on the Facebook group, Vintage Albany Georgia.
