Seven of the best teams in the NJCAA better take a long look at the Darton College Cavaliers.
The No. 1 ranked men’s soccer program will enter the national championship tournament in Phoenix as the No. 1 seed, the NJCAA recently announced.
“I don’t think that it’s an advantage or a disadvantage that we’re ranked No. 1 or that we’re the No. 1 seed,” said Darton Head Coach Bart Sasnett, “because every team out there can play (well).”
The Cavaliers, now Region XVII Champions and Southeast District Champions, are scheduled to face No. 8 seed Pima Community College (Ariz.) in Game Four on Nov. 17, at 8:30 p.m. (Eastern time), at Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix.
A win would mean the Cavaliers (20-1) move onto Game Eight, scheduled for Nov. 18, at 8:30 p.m. (Eastern), where they would face the victor between No. 4 Iowa Western and No. 5 Monroe Community College (NY).
The match, as well as all other contests in the tournament, will be video-steamed live via webcast on NJCAA TV. A link will be available on the Darton College Athletics website: http://cavs.darton.edu/. The live webcasts will also feature video clips highlighting Darton College Athletics.
