By   /   October 22, 2011  /   Comments

The Exchange Club of Southwest Georgia hosted a Fire Prevention program for the 2nd Graders of Byne School.  Members of the Albany Fire Department taught the Children what to do if their homes were on fire, how to react if any emergency happens in the house, the Stop Drop and Roll if they are on fire.

They were also cautioned about the dangers of playing on the phone and calling 911 for fun. They were then taken outside and shown the equipment on the fire truck and told how each piece of equipment worked.

Each child was also given an American flag.

The Exchange Club of Southwest Georgia meets weekly at noon at Byne Memorial Baptist Church, 2832 Ledo Road. For more information, contact  Shirley Tyner at 436-4242.
