A new ride for thrill-seekers, the Ali Baba, at this year’s Exchange Club Fair.
During the week of November 1-6, the 65th Annual Exchange Club Fair of Southwest Georgia will provide a week to remember with activities ranging from rides to illusionists to animal shows to delicious — albeit not always healthy! — fair food. Opening times will vary throughout the week and prices will range from free to $15 for an unlimited ride ticket based on the day of the week and the discount that is offered. General fair admission is $5, parking is free and children under 48 inches tall are admitted free.
The Exchange Club Fair will feature free entertainment all week long by Buffalo Barfield, Eudora’s Exotic Petting Zoo, as well as a variety of bands, drama groups, cloggers, karaoke performers and more. In addition to the daily entertainment, the fair offers thrilling midway rides, arcade games, livestock shows and the 15th Annual Demolition Derby with a $4,500 purse. New this year are Rust & Flame blacksmith demonstrations, Belmont Magic & Illusion shows and the Ali Baba, a new thrill ride.
On opening day, Tuesday, gates will open at 5 p.m. following the grand opening ceremonies. Parking lot opens at 4 p.m. With a coupon from Harvey’s Supermarkets attendees can purchase an unlimited ride ticket for $15. All students with a valid ID card and a non-perishable food item will be admitted free from 5 to 7 p.m.
On Wednesday and Thursday, gates open at 4 p.m. and the parking lot opens at 3:30. With a coupon from McDonald’s, attendees can purchase an unlimited ride ticket at the fair for $15. On Friday, gates open at 3 p.m.; the parking lot opens at 2:30. On Saturday, gates open at 1 p.m.; the parking lot opens at 12:30 p.m.
