Solomon, one of the greatest men ever to live, said in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that “there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the sun.”
Every living creature operates by the law of seedtime and harvest. God gave every organism the ability to grow and multiply when a seed is planted. Life in the form of a plant, animal or human starts with a seed.
When a seed is sown and becomes a plant, it is so beautiful. However, it goes through many stages before we get a flower. The pollen has to be brought to the ovary of the plant by the wind, insect or bird. Once pollination is completed the seed becomes a colorful plant. Remember, the flower didn’t just appear there was a seed first. Nothing just happens. Everything was created by God.
Animals are produced when the sperm fertilizes the ovary. Some are hatched from an egg and some are birthed; nevertheless, the process started with a seed. The finish product does not look the same as it did in the womb. Time brings everything into maturity. If we are patient and wait for time we will reach our destiny.
When we behold man, he looks so strong and handsome. However, a few years ago he was only a fetus in his mother’s womb–helpless. But, Almighty God allowed man to come to maturity. Now it is man’s choice what he does with his life. Will he continue to sow seeds in the life of his children, family and community? He must remember the seed he sows will be the seed that grows whether good or bad. Paul says in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked whatever a man sows that shall he also reap.” Many want to sow bad seeds and expect a great harvest. It doesn’t work that way. Stop planting what you don’t want to grow. God has a timetable for seeds to come to maturity. We must be patient and wait for our time of harvest. Don’t get jealous of others’ seasons, but wait patiently for yours.
Keep sowing the right seeds, the visions and dreams you have will come to pass. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie; though it tarry wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry” Habakkuk 3:3. Your harvest is almost ready — wait!
