This exhibition features works from an array of outsider, folk, and visionary artists from Georgia and Alabama including Howard Finster, Eddie Owens Martin, Mose Tolliver, R.A. Miller, and O.L. Samuels. These self-taught artists are often referred to as outsider artist because they are all thought to exist outside of the mainstream art-world. Each is spurred by unique motivations creating a rich tapestry of work. Inspired by visions or religious experiences, artists like Eddie Owens Martin and Howard Finster attempt to create a utopia on earth. Other artists, like R.A. Miller, O.L.
