Albany State’s Jennings receives BoxtoRow National Player of the Week honors

Albany State University quarterback Stanley Jennings has been named the BoxtoRow National Player of the Week. The senior from Marietta, Ga. led the Golden Rams to a 49-28 victory over the Wingate University Bulldogs last weekend.

Jennings will be the featured guest on FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW, a weekly national sports radio talk show with host Donal Ware. Fans near the Albany, Ga. area can hear the show on Albany State’s WASU-FM 92.7 on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The show can also be heard on www.boxtorow.com on Saturday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

The show, which is celebrating six years on the air, was featured in JET Magazine in the Aug. 9-16, 2010 issue.

Jennings threw four touchdown passes and completed 17-of-30 passes for 307 yards against Wingate in ASU’s home opener last weekend. Jennings and the Golden Rams, who are ranked No. 5 in the Boxtorow HBCU Football Media Top 10 Football Poll, will face the Valdosta State Blazers on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Albany State University Coliseum in Albany, Ga.
