Broadway Bound Musical Theatre for children and Lee County High School’s Performing Arts will present The Aristocats, kids! this weekend at Lee County High School.
Thomas O’Malley and his gang of alley cats are ready to assist the beautiful Duchess and her three mischievous kittens as they make their way through the country of Paris and back home to the beloved owner.
The cast of 35 actors range in age from 6 to 18 and includes six sets of siblings.
“This story is one of my all-time favorites from Disney,” said Dotty Davis, director and choreographer for the production. “The music was so different from other Disney shows and so much fun to sing and dance to”. The show features favorites like “Everybody wants to be a Cat” and “Scales and Arpeggios”.
The musical director is Lee County High School’s choral director, Kevin Blaise, and the technical theatre director is Lee County High School’s Robby Davis.
Performances are slated for Friday, Sept. 23 and Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Lee County High School Clay Auditorium.
