C. W. (Buck) Geer, “Mr. Albany “of 1934, was selected by his peers during his senior year at Albany High School for his skill on the football field as well as his upper body development. Geer attended the University of Georgia and later became a well-known businessman in Albany. This photo was sent in to the Vintage Albany Facebook group by a relative of Geer. The Facebook group has more than 2,000 images of Albany and Albanians throughout the years.
