Boy Scout Troop 115 took to the skies on Aug. 20 for a full day of high adventure and extreme adrenaline rushes.
In the western part of Georgia lies a secret that many do not know about. The Banning Mills Canopy Tour is located in a small area known as Whitesburg. Troop 115 took advantage of the opportunity and conducted their high adventure for the day.
Strapping up with a harness, gloves, helmet, and other safety equipment, Troop 115 closed out their year of adventure by going up in the air for a day of traverse bridges and ziplines. At heights of 100 feet, the adrenaline was pumping and the boys had a blast trekking through the forest tops at speeds topping 70 mph in some areas.
The troop is looking forward to 2011-2012 as more fun and adventure is in store for them. If you are a boy age 11 and up and are interested in what Boy Scouting can be like for you, feel free to go to www.bsatroop115.com and read up about us.
