Anthony O. Thomas

Navy Lt. Anthony O. Thomas recently reported for duty at Navy Cyber Forces, Virginia Beach, Va. Thomas joined the Navy in September 1994.

Thomas is the son of Merrie Mitchell of Albany and Herman Thomas, of Camilla.

Richard J. Clinton

Army Pfc. Richard J. Clinton has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Clinton is the son of Richard Clinton of Leesburg and Eva Clements of Albany.

Clinton is a 2008 graduate of Lee County High School.

Bobby D. Fair, Wade O. Clude Jr., Porsha N. Brown

Air Force Airman 1st Class Bobbie D. Fair, Air Force Airman Wade O. Clude Jr. and Air Force Airman 1st Class Porsha N. Brown graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Fair is the daughter of Gloria Fair of Albany. She is a 2006 graduate of Monroe High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from the University of Georgia.

Clude Jr. earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Wade and Debbie Clude of Albany and a 2010 graduate of Westover High School, Albany.

Brown is the daughter of Pamela Brown of Albany and a 2010 graduate of Westover High School, Albany.
