Darton Nursing Grades Feted

Darton College students who graduated this summer from the Darton College Nursing Program with Associate of Science degrees were recognized last week during the traditional Nursing Pinning Ceremony and are now eligible to take the licensing examination to become registered nurses.

Albany area graduates include Lauren Brossett, Vanetta Fowler, Anthony Gregory, Travis Hatfield, Kanisha Hines, Anny Johnson, Kimberly Jordan, Dana Lee, Aujua Lowe, Amanda Nichols, Kristen Powell, John Said, Melody Shenker, Jennifer Thompson, Joy Widman, Georgianna Williams, and Rodesia Woodson.

Other area graduates include Latoya Turner, Abbeville; Nakia Laster, Americus; Truitt Horne, Baconton; Marion Curtis, Centerville; Kimberly Reddick, Columbus; Mallori Walker, Doerun; Florence Donkor, Duluth; Constance Williams, Edison; Patricia DeVane, Ellaville;

Graduates from Darton College’s nursing program consistently have among the highest first-time pass rates on the licensing exam in the state.  Darton’s program has provided more than 2,500 nurses to the Southwest Georgia area since the college opened its doors in 1966.
