With three shutouts along the way, Flint River Fusion U12 Girls Won the recent Rose City Soccer Tournament in Thomasville. Pictured are (from left), first row: Mary Larkin Carden, Jennifer Doran, Savannah Wright, Kaitlyn Turner, Collins Chandler, Alex Holloway and Brittany Turner; and (second row)  Savannah Jackson, Sarah Perrine, Lexi Ruth Sells, Parker Morgan, Bailey Cromer, Maddie Veilands and Janie Plowden. Prospective area soccer players can attend assessments to play with Fusion in fall on Aug. 7 at Darton State College at 10 a.m. for girls and 11 a.m. for boys. Flint River Fusion Soccer Club is the premier Academy soccer organization for the Albany area.  Academy soccer is for players under age 12 (as of Aug. 1) for travel soccer in the Southwest Georgia.
