Gillionville Baptist Church will host a Junior Kids Camp in the Children’s Building for children who turned 4 by September 2010 through those who have completed second grade. Sherwood Baptist Church will host TRUTH in Concert during their 40th anniversary tour. TRUTH traveled for 30-plus years and covered millions of miles across America and the world. The group recorded more than 60 albums, including No. 1 hits “Jesus Never Fails,” “Living Life Upside Down,” “Majesty,” “The Church Triumphant”. First Presbyterian Church, 220 N. Jackson St., will host “Fifth Sundays Together.” Bring your favorite covered dish to share. In the style of the first church, First Presbyterian Church is praying, worshipping, singing, and breaking bread together. Info: 432-6289.

Saturday, Aug. 7

First Presbyterian Church is encouraging members to “Bring a Friend to Church”. Bring a friend who doesn’t have a church, may be looking for a church, or just needs to check the church out. There will be gifts for all guests. First Presbyterian will also be starting “The Living Stones Series.” A sermon series that will get even the most stone hearted of people to praise Jesus. Saturday, Aug. 27

Central Baptist Church, 1618 W. Third Ave., will host a fund-raiser wild game dinner and auction featuring guest speaker Clay Dyer beginning at 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit The Anchorage. Info: 436-7263.

 

Saturday, Sept. 10

The Central Baptist Church Women’s Ministry will host the “Living Proof Live Simulcast with Beth Moore” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include a continental breakfast fellowship, a box lunch and refreshments. All tickets purchased by Aug. 15 include a T-shirt. Tickets may be purchased online at albanycentralbaptist.net.
