Monday, Aug. 29

First United Methodist Church of Albany, 307 Flint Ave., will present “The Bible in 90 Days” beginning Thursday, June 9 and then on Mondays through Aug. 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Building 3, Conference Room A. Rev. Carrie Austin and Dr. Brandon Keaton will lead the curriculum, which helps people attentively read the entire Bible. Registration is required by June 1 to begin reading for the first meeting. The cost is $10 for  the participant guide. Register in the hallway outside the church office. Bibles are $15 and will be on the registration table. A nursery will be provided if needed.  If you are unable to join the class, but would like to share in the reading, there are extra bookmark reading guides on the registration table. First United Methodist Church will study The Sacred Echo by Margaret Feinberg at 10 a.m. Tuesdays in Building 3, Conference Room A. Rev. Carrie Austin will lead. Pre-register and purchase the workbook for $10 at the book table in the church office. Childcare will be available upon request. Info: 432-7407.


Saturday, July 2

In a concert themed “Freedom Isn’t Free,” Damascus Road Studios will present the Southern gospel trio Dayspring of Americus, Ga., and local groups The Mended Hearts and Weyman Salter at Philema Road Baptist Church, 114 Stocks Dairy Road, Leesburg. Admission to the 7 p.m. concert is free; a love offering will be accepted. For information, call 420-0602.
