Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its April 11 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology met on Monday, April 11, 2011.
The Board voted to deny two applications for licensure.
The Board voted to terminate the probation sanction for the following licensee:

  • Samantha Marie Milton, Gainesville
The Board voted to release the following license from suspension pursuant to a request from GHEAC. Licensee is in compliance with student loan.
  • Jennifer Jean Little, Marietta
The Board voted to reduce the citation for the following establishment:
  • Capri Nails, Suwanee
The Board voted to ratify the following cease and desist orders:
  • Thanh Ly, Atlanta
  • Thach Vi Sa, Atlanta
  • Thu Thao Thi Huynh, Atlanta
  • Barron’s London Salon, Atlanta
  • Ashley Elizabeth Miller, Atlanta
  • Kirby’s Studio Beauty Salon, Atlanta
  • Catrice Everett, Atlanta
  • Diep Thi Dinh, Brunswick
  • Carolyn Sue Dyer, Dacula
  • Yummy Nail Studio, Douglasville
  • Prima Diva, Douglasville
  • Tina Elizabeth Colwell, Griffin
  • Dat Quoc Tran, Kennesaw
  • Hai Thi Bui, Lawrenceville

The Board voted to accept payment for fines resulting from citations against the following individuals or establishments:
  • C Nails and Spa, Atlanta
  • Curl Up and Dye Beauty Salon, Eastman
  • Barbara M Christopher, Homerville
  • Da-Vi Nails Store, Lithonia
  • Jocey’s Place Salon, Stone Mountain
  • Gentle Touch Therapeutic, Waycross
The Board voted to uphold citations against the following individuals or establishments:
  • City Cutz Salon, Atlanta
  • Dynasty Total Look Salon, Decatur
  • Ecotage Salon and Spa at Rich’s, Atlanta
  • The J Spot Salon, Atlanta
  • Jolie the Day Spa and Hair, Atlanta
  • Heads Up Beauty, Lithonia
The Board voted to uphold citations but reduce the fines against the following individuals or establishments:
  • A&A Hair Design Salon, College Park
  • Jonathan’s Salon, Eastman
  • Acts of Valor Salon, Inc., Lithonia
  • Favor Hair Studio, Stone Mountain
The Board voted to grant continuances for hearings on citations against the following individuals or establishments:
  • Choices II Salon Exodus, Atlanta
  • Alre’s Salon & Spa LLC, Decatur
  • Travis Dowdy Salon, Lithonia
The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting Wednesday, May 23, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
