On Friday, April 15, the Albany State University and the Center for Undergraduate Research will host the 10th Annual Undergraduate Symposium. The program will began at 9 a.m. in room 114 of the James Pendergrast Library.
Dr. Derrick R. Dean, an associate professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham will be the keynote speaker. Dean holds a doctorate degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Illinois, a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in chemistry from Tuskegee University. His presentation will be on the topic “Bioactive, Multifunctional Polymeric Tissue Scaffolds: Design, Synthesis and Applications.”
ASU student presenters at the program include: Vernon Alford, Erica Belle, Latrice Burston, Roman Casterline, Maurice J. Gibson, Danielle Green, Tonya Horne, Randy E. Lane, Tracy McVay, Xavier Patterson, Tarniecia Sampleton and Justin Turner.
