A contributor to the “Vintage Albany” page on Facebook contributed this photograph of a postcard of the St. Nicholas Hotel on North Washington Street, where the Albany Transition Center is now located. The St. Nicholas, which a Vintage Albany poster said was frequently used by passengers of the nearby train depot at Thronateeska, later became the Lee Hotel.
