The Women’s Ministry of Central Baptist Church will host the “Going Beyond” live simulcast with Priscilla Shirer. The event starts Friday with a Chocolate Fellowship at 7 p.m. and a Saturday prayer session begins at 8:30. Continental breakfast will be served at 9:15. This event promises to be a life changing, inspirational experience for those attending. Tickets are $15.00. For information and to purchase tickets go to albanycentralbaptistchurch.net. Tickets must be purchased by Monday March 28. All proceeds will be used for Central Baptist Women’s Ministry projects.

 

Saturday, April 16

Macedonia Baptist Church is sponsoring its eighth annual Holy Smoke Bar-B-Que Cookoff, a Christian grilling competition, at the Old Centerpoint School in Preston. The activities begin with a team meeting in the school house at 9 a.m., followed by gospel singing at 11 a.m., judging at 4 p.m., a barbecue meal at 5 p.m., and awarding of trophies at 6:30 p.m. Info: Robert Orr at 887-3466 or jake@dixieweb.net.

 

Saturday, April 23

PMS Coffee Shop in Sylvester will present a free concert featuring Everrising with special guest Absolute, along with the Remnant, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Sumner Auditorium, 706 Walnut St. Get there early to register for door prizes. Info: 854-2266.
