Hegarty, martin named Lee County Star Student, Teacher

Jennifer (Jenna) Grace Hegarty has been named Lee County’s 2011 STAR Student. She chose Sara Martin, as her STAR Teacher. Mrs. Martin taught Jenna AP Literature/Composition.

Today at Grand Island Golf Club, Jenna Hegarty and Mrs. Sara Martin were honored at the quarterly “Eggs and Issues” breakfast sponsored by the Lee County Chamber of Commerce, Darton College and Colony Bank to celebrate education in the county.

Jenna is a senior at Lee County High School and is the daughter of David & Peggy Hegarty of Lee County. They will now participate in regional and state STAR competitions.
