Friday, March 18

Cross Cultural Musique in downtown Leesburg have these following concerts planned: Feb. 18-Mended Hearts, a ladies’ trio; Feb. 25-Goodbread Ministries; March 4-Wilma Smith; March 11-Living Water Men’s Quartet, Mandy Harrell; March 18-Friendship Trio (men’s trio).

Friday, Feb. 18

First United Methodist Church, 307 Flint Ave., will host A Date With Daddy at 7 p.m. at Ford Hall. Daddies and daughters, get dressed up in your very best and enjoy a night of dancing and a sit-down dinner. The girls will also be given a gift to remember the night. The cost is $35 per couple plus $15 for each additional child. Reservations: Kelly Mullins at 432-7407 or kmullins@fumcalbanyga.org.

Saturday, Feb. 19

The Second District Black History Month program will be held at 3 p.m. at First Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 7108 Newton Road.

Sunday, Feb. 20

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 325 Whitney Ave., will present “African-Americans and the Civil War,” its Black History Month program, at 11:15 a.m. The speaker will be Robert Alexander of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. The program will consist of special songs, praise dance, readings and other expressions of black tradition.

Sunday, Feb. 27

Homecoming will be held at Bronwood Baptist Church, 140 E. Geise St. in Bronwood, beginning at 10:30 a.m.  The service will feature an inspiring message presented by former Pastor Tommy McDonald, and will include uplifting special music. Following the morning worship service, everyone is invited to remain and enjoy a delicious meal and continued Christian fellowship.

March 14-16

Sherwood Baptist Church is planning a retreat, “Refresh in the Smokies,” a conference for those who thirst for revival.”  Info: 883-1910 ext. 1200, Debbie Toole at debbiet@sherwoodbaptist.net, or www.ReFRESHConference.org.
