Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its January 24 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology met on Monday, January 24, 2011.

The Board voted to accept payment for fines resulting from citations against the following individuals or establishments:

  • Gene’s Beauty Salon, Albany
  • Final Faze, Americus
  • Azar Salon, Atlanta
  • Cut Zoo Beauty Salon, Atlanta
  • Twanda Sharon Dunbar, Augusta
  • Bertha Beauty Shop, Bainbridge
  • Angel Nails Salon, Bremen
  • Classy Nails & Tan II, Inc., Duluth
  • Armour Nails & Hair Salon, Gray
  • Dominion Beauty Salon, Hephzibah
  • Creative Nail Concepts, Hinesville
  • Faith Beauty & Bar, Kingsland
  • Cutting Up Hair Salon, Leesburg
  • CT Nails & Spa Shop, Milledgeville
  • Color Boxx Salon Inc., Savannah
  • Designer Hair Beauty, Savannah
  • Dominican Hair Salon, Stockbridge
  • Capital Nails, Union City

The Board voted to uphold citations against the following individuals or establishments:

  • Anointed Designs Beauty Salon, Atlanta
  • A Town Beauty Salon, Atlanta
  • Columbus Nails, Columbus
  • Biby’s Salon, Cumming
  • Kemedrick D. Adiside, Gordon
  • Angela R. Guild, Griffin
  • A Cutting Edge Salon, Hampton
  • Foxy Nails Salon, Hinesville
  • Karen Williamson, Lithonia
  • Helen Nails, Macon
  • Chan Hair Studio, Morrow
  • Hair Distinction Beauty Salon, Savannah
  • Ethels Talk of the Town, Savannah
  • Gayla’s Beauty Salon, Statesboro
  • The Affordable Hair Salon, Stone Mountain

The Board voted to uphold citations but reduce the fines against the following individuals or establishments:

  • Limweechie White, Douglasville
  • Rahman Allen, Stone Mountain

The Board voted to dismiss citations against the following establishments:

  • Barbara Brook Beauty Salon, Albany
  • Bankston Beauty Shop, Albany

The Board voted to grant continuances for hearings on citations against the following individuals or establishments:

  • City Cutz Salon, Atlanta
  • Cure Nail & Body Bar Shop, Atlanta
  • A&A Hair Design Salon, College Park
  • Tiffany Michelle Ash-Jones, Snellville
  • Da-Vi Nails Salon, Thomson

The Board voted to dismiss a $500 fine for the following individual:

  • Tech Hoang Taing, McDonough

The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting Monday, February 7, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
