Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy met on Friday, February 11, 2011.   The Board voted to approve 27 applications for licensure by application and four applications for licensure by reinstatement.   The following petitions for waiver/variance requests were presented to the Board:

• Pamela Noud: O.C.G.A. §43-24A-8, Board Decision: Denied; Board cannot waive the law.
• Robert Goodman: Rule 345-4.05, Board Decision: Denied; insufficient evidence provided to prove hardship.

The Board voted to post revisions to Rule 345-4-.05 Reinstatement of a License, upon the receipt of the memo of authority from Graham Barron, Assistant Attorney General.   The Board voted to accept the following cease and desist order for unlicensed practice:

• Hoang Bui, Columbus Nails, Columbus

The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy will hold its next meeting Friday, April 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
