Back row – Second row – Front row – Members of the Junior Company of Ballet Theatre South as they rehearse for the party scene in Nutcracker 2010, which will be presented this weekend at the Albany Municipal Auditorium. Thirty-nine student dancers from Dougherty, Lee, Mitchell and Terrell counties auditioned during the early summer for the opportunity to perform in a production that enables area residents to see a professional show without having to go to a major metropolitan area. The local students, who have rehearsed every weekend since August, will be joined by six professional guest artists. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Reserved-seat tickets are $15. Call 349-3343 for tickets or information.
