Sunday, Dec. 26

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1508 Whispering Pines Road, will observe Advent and Christmas at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and 8:30 a.m. Sundays through Dec. 26. Christmas Eve worship will begin at 6 pm.

Friday, Dec. 24

First Baptist Church Albany, 145 Oakland Parkway in Leesburg, will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. Info: 883-8000.

Sunday, Dec. 26

Christmas Vigil Masses at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Albany will be held at 5:30, 8 and 11 p.m. Friday Caroling will begin 30 minutes before each Mass. The 5:30 and 8 p.m. Masses are intended for families with young children. The Christmas Day mass is at 10 a.m.; there will be no 5:30 Vigil Mass on Saturday. The Sunday Mass is as usual: 8:30 and 11 a.m. in English; 1 p.m. in Spanish. No nursery will be provided on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Saturday, Jan. 1-

Sunday, Jan. 2

St. Teresa’s Catholic Church will hold Solemnity of Mary Mass at 10 a.m. This feast is not a holy day of obligation this year since it falls on Saturday. The weekend Mass schedule is as usual: 5:30 p.m. Saturday; 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday in English; and 1 p.m. Sunday in Spanish.

Sunday, Jan. 10

Dr. Jay Strack, founder of Student Leadership University the author of inspirational books, will make a presentation on “Frontline Parenting” at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Center of Sherwood Baptist Church, 2201 Whispering Pines Road. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $5; tickets can be purchased at the ticket desk in the Atrium on Sundays or at the receptionist’s office throughout the week. Childcare will be available for $2 for preschool-fifth grade. Call 883-1910 by Jan. 5 to make your reservation.
