Albany State University and Wingate University football fans who cannot attend the NCAA Division II second-round playoff game, which kicks off today at 1 p.m., can catch all the action on an NCAA website. Fans can watch live action from the Albany State University Coliseum by accessing the NCAA All-Access website at http://www.ncaa.com/allaccess/index.html?media=212355. The No. 1 Golden Rams (10-0) and the No. 4 Bulldogs (9-2) will go face-to-face for the first time in the Super Regional Two game.
Although the game can be watched on the NCAA site, fans are encouraged to attend the game.
“We want our fans present at the ASU Coliseum to cheer our Golden Rams to victory,” said Dr. Richard H. Williams, ASU athletics director. “Albany State and Wingate are both powerful teams, so there will be plenty of action.”
The game can also be heard on Albany radio station 98.1 FM or through station’s website, www.kissalbany.com. Click on the “listen live” button to hear the play-by-play action from ASU’s radio broadcast team of Fred Suttles, Norman Newton and Jesse Massey.
Tickets for the playoff game are $15 for adults and $5 for kindergarten through 12th grade, ASU and Wingate students with a valid ID. Tickets will be available at the gate for the same price.
Winners of the Albany State vs. Wingate and Delta State vs. North Alabama games will meet Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Division II quarterfinals. The national championship game is Saturday, Dec. 18, at Braly Municipal Stadium in Florence, Ala. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 HD/ESPN3.com.
