The Lady Cavs shutout Middle Georgia in the Semi-Finals

ALBANY– The Darton College women’s soccer earned a semi-final win versus the defending 2009 Region XVII Champions, Middle Georgia, by a score of 6-0, to advance to the Region Championship.  The Lady Cavs have an overall mark of 15-2-1.

“It was our first game back since we lost to Georgia Perimeter,” stated Veilands.

At halftime the game was 2-0 and the Cavs never looked back.

“We didn’t come out in rhythm at the start of the match but we had to regroup and get organized.”

Fiona Ryan ended the game with nine saves that aided in another shutout game for the Cavs.

Christine Kelly recorded two goals and one assist for the Lady Cavs.  Shelby Bush, Sashanna Campbell (1 assist), Jordan Theis and Josie Rabbitt each had one goal apiece.

Christen Terrebrood led the team with two assists on the night.  Taylor Benton and Shenel Gall also had an assist apiece.

The Lady Cavaliers play Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3 pm versus the winner of the GPC/GMC match.   Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, free for children under eight and Darton College students (with I.D).

The Darton College men’s soccer will compete on Saturday at 6pm versus Georgia Perimeter in the Semi-Final match.
