Friday, Oct. 15

Lion of Judah International Ministries, 1101 E. Oglethorpe Blvd., will host its annual Women of the Word Fellowship Service at 7 p.m. This year’s theme, “Woman, Arise!” is inspired by the miracle of Dorcas being raised from the dead in Acts 9:36-41. Info: 883-3019 or www.lionofjudahintl.org.

A Georgia Peanut Festival gospel sing featuring Southern Majesty and Living Waters will be held at 7 p.m. in the Sumner School auditorium. Admission is free; a love offering will be received.

Saturday, Oct. 16

A retreat for mothers of preschoolers titled “Call Her Blessed” will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Gillionville Baptist Church, 4614 Gillionville Road. Tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the door. Admission includes a light breakfast, two full meals, snacks and drinks. Speakers include Jo Crosby, counselor; humorist Ellen Hester; Ward Wright’s mother, Miranda; testimony and singing by Kristi Childress; and Stacey Stoner leading worship. Sunday, Oct. 17

The Bradys will perform in concert at 6 p.m. Liberty Baptist Church, 1109 Liberty Expressway. Admission is free; a love offering will be received.

Thursday, Oct. 21

Mallary Baptist Association’s 127th annual meeting will be he held at 6 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, 2806 N. Jefferson St. Fred Luter, pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, will speak. The fellowship meal costs $5. RSVP to 432-6191.

Saturday, Oct. 23

Lakeshore Baptist Church will present the drama “Judgment House” about the reality of life after death at 6:30 nightly.

Saturday, Oct. 23

Kinchafoonee Baptist Church on West Century Road in Leesburg will have a fall festival featuring singing with Dayspring and a silent auction from 2 to 5 p.m. For tickets and barbecue plates, call 759-7053 or 432-5180.
