There is a new poll out, Mike Keown is ahead 47.2% to Sanford Bishop’s 44.9% in the race for 2nd Congressional district U.S. congressman.
The farmers-support-Bishop-myth is broken; a coalition of 2nd District farmers came together and endorsed Mike Keown; the end-of-September disclosure statement proved it. Of the almost $600,000 in donations Congressman Bishop garnered, only $76,000 came from within the district and $0 came from individuals designated as farmers, though there was one listed as an agriculture producer.
Remember how upset you were when Bishop voted for TARP, stimulus and cap-and-trade, and how he wouldn’t listen? How he kept saying that he was a Blue Dog fiscal conservative, but he voted with Nancy Pelosi 98 percent of the time, voting for every tax increase proposed, but not one spending decrease? Remember the vote for Obamacare and the promises made and how so many of those promises are falling short?
If you haven’t voted yet, go vote early and remember how upset you were. Then come join your fellow citizens at one or more of this week’s rallies.
On Friday Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. where the first Lee County Tea Party was held, on the courthouse steps, Mike Keown will hold a pre-election victory rally.
On Saturday, Oct. 30, in Albany, a goodbye Bishop rally will be held in front Sanford Bishop’s office, from 11 a.m. to noon ta Albany Towers at Roosevelt Avenue and Washington Street.
