BlazeSports Wheelchair Basketball Instructional Program.
WHEN: Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2-Feb. 22.
WHERE: Turner Gym, 2301 George St.
DETAILS: To be eligible, a player must have an irreversible lower extremity disability such as paralysis, amputation, etc.
Out of Sight Fun Fit
WHEN: Thursdays at 5:30-6:45 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:30-11:45 a.m. through Dec. 16
WHERE: Jackson Heights Fitness & Wellness Center, 1100 N. Jordan St.
DETAILS: This program for visually impaired people focuses on health through fitness and exercise.
Ten Pin Rollers Bowling Program
WHEN: Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45 p.m. through Dec. 15
WHERE: AMF Bowl-A-Rama at 1200 W. Broad Ave.
DETAILS: This program is for people who are visually impaired. The $3-per-night fee includes two games of bowling, shoes, and bowling ball. Participants must be at least 12; ages 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Beep Baseball Team Practice
WHEN: Saturday mornings from 9 to 10:15 through Nov. 20
WHERE: Jackson Heights Fitness & Wellness Center
DETAILS: There are no age or gender-based restrictions to play this innovative sport for people with visual impairments.
