Ron Young, a Villa Ricca resident and Eagle Scout who was an Iraqi prisoner war during Operation Iraqi Freedom, spoke Monday to Scouts in Albany. Young spoke on how important it is to always be prepared in life, and he shared the story of his 2003 capture and of his rescue by heroic Marines. Since leaving the U.S. Army, Young has worked as a cable news special contributor, he competed to the finals of CBS’ The Amazing Race, and he now is a federal employee and motivational speaker.
