Lion of Judah International Ministries, 1101 E. Oglethorpe Blvd., is hosting its annual Intercessory Prayer Conference featuring the theme from James 5:16, “Prayer Changes Things.” Services are at 7 p.m. Speakers are Pastor Bettye Fletcher (Wednesday), Elder Sandy John (Thursday) and Apostle Minister Verleda Reed (Friday).  Info: 883-3019 or www.LionOfJudahIntl.Org.

Saturday, Oct. 2

The Daughters of Esther will host their annual Seasonal Tea at noon in the fellowship hall of Jordan Grove Baptist Church, 938 Oakland Road, Leesburg. Camilla Mayor Mary Jo Haywood will speak. Info: 436-6518.

A fund-raising event for Easton Blanchard will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Fish Camp on Gillionville Road between the American Legion and Glover Dental Center. A love offering of $10 or more for adults is requested; children are free. Love offerings of $20 or more will be entered into a special drawing. Musical guests include Crossing 47, Plaid and Blest. Shug’s BBQ will provide concessions.

Gospel music begins at 7 p.m. at Spence Field Maule’s, 2099 S. Georgia Hwy. 133 in Moultrie, featuring The Mighty Rushing Winds from Albany and In His Name from Fitzgerald. Free admission; a love offering will be taken for the groups.

Sunday, Oct. 3

Sunday worship at 11 a.m. with Rev. Garrett Andrew will wrap up First Presbyterian Church of Albany’s first Missions Week.

Saturday, Oct. 9

Hook FM in Sylvester will present Building 429 in its national 30 Seconds to Change Tour: A Tour to Benefit Haiti, at 6:30 p.m. at Life Christian Church, 1211 Stuart Ave in Albany. Also performing will be MIKESCHAIR and Abandon. The tour encourages sponsoring Haitian children, spreading the message that it takes only 30 seconds to contribute to restoring the hope of a devastated country and change a life forever.  Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free; a love offering will be taken. Saturday, Oct. 16

A retreat for mothers of preschoolers titled “Call Her Blessed” will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Gillionville Baptist Church, 4614 Gillionville Road. Tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the door. Admission includes a light breakfast, two full meals, snacks and drinks. Speakers include Jo Crosby, counselor; humorist Ellen Hester; Ward Wright’s mother, Miranda; testimony and singing by Kristi Childress; and Stacey Stoner leading worship.
