Albany State Lady Rams claim crossover tournament title

The Albany State University Lady Rams proved why they are the nine-time defending SIAC champions after going undefeated in the 2010 SIAC Volleyball Crossover Tournament. The Lady Rams defeated Kentucky State University 3-0 in their final match. The Lady Rams beat the Thorobrettes 25-23, 25-18 and 26-24 to improve their record to 7-2 overall.
Latrice Lewis led the Lady Rams with 16 kills and eight digs, and Sabrina Garcia added nine kills. Jennifer Johnson, Priscila Sena recorded 26 assists, four kills and eight digs on the day.

The Lady Rams will travel to play Fort Valley State University on Sept. 20, and Alabama A&M University on Sept. 22. They will play three back-to-back home matches against Edward Waters College on Sept. 24, Benedict College on Sept. 25 and Claflin University on Sept 26 at the ASU HPER Gymnasium. The Lady Rams will close out the month of September in a home match against Valdosta State University.
All ASU home matches are free of charge and open to the public.
