The Albany Harley-Davidson dealership is moving its dealership on Old Dawson Road to Tifton Harley-Davidson’s new state-of-the-art facility in Tifton on Oct. 1. The combination of the two dealerships will create a Premier Harley-Davidson Superstore that will serve South Georgia.
One chapter in Albany Harley-Davidson’s history is closing “only to open a new chapter filled with excitement, growth, and a rumble into a positive future,” Harley officials said.
“ This move marks the dedication that Albany Harley-Davidson has in serving the southern Georgia motorcycle community,” the company said in a news release. “By moving to a new facility and combining resources with Tifton Harley-Davidson, Albany Harley-Davidson will be better equipped to hold the latest and greatest inventory that Harley-Davidson has to bring.”
The multimillion dollar project in Tifton, Georgia is a 29,597 square foot building that feature a second-story event deck.
“We are proud to continue to serve our customers with staff that is dedicated and loyal, and will receive the same consumer experience that they are used to seeing day in and day out,” the company said. “There is limited staff impact with a majority of the staff moving to Tifton or elsewhere in the organization. We will continue to give support, trust, and loyalty to our customers, community, family, and friends who believe in our dealership. We plan to provide communications through our website, social media, and through the phone to answer any questions or concerns and to keep everyone informed through this exciting move.”
The two dealerships’ Rider’s Edge program will continue to operate at both the Albany and Moultrie locations. The HOG®(Harley’s Owners Group) of both dealerships will be consolidated into the Tifton HOG Chapter.
Tifton Harley-Davidson will offer free pickup and delivery to the Albany community during this transition.
Albany Harley-Davidson General Manager Kevin Sewell said he is counting the days until the move.
“We have been a fixture in this town for several years, but I believe that we can better serve our consumers in a state-of-the-art facility in Tifton. This move will bring both growth and opportunity to Southwest Georgia,” he said.
