ASU honors community service leaders

Albany State University honored two leaders during its inaugural Community Service Award Banquet held Thursday, Aug. 19, in the HPER Gymnasium.

Mark Lane (right), president and CEO of SB&T Bank receives the ASU Community Service Award from ASU President Dr. Everette J. Freeman (left). Joining them is Lane’s wife, Donna.

Dr. Freeman presents the ASU Community Service Award to Carolyn Gibson in memory of her late husband, Davey Gibson, a four-time president of the ASU National Alumni Association and a long-time community leader.
