YOU KNOW, I’M REALLY glad you report on all this crap, but I’m sick of it. We all are. Everyday it is something else. And all we do is point fingers and expect someone else to take care of the garbage that infiltrates and pollutes this city. Citizens of Albany, unite and fight! We need a grassroots movement here to combat all the ills that plague our community. If we want to change, we obviously have to do it ourselves – but together! Anyone?
REGARDING ALFRED LOTT’S RECOMMENDATION that Albany City Attorney Nathan Davis be fired, I cannot believe that he would bring Nathan’s son’s death into this!
DOES LOTT NOT REMEMBER that Nathan was held, at gunpoint, at his residence in the recent past by someone attempting to rob him? I imagine if the same happened to me I would carry a gun, too. Granted, Nathan should have obtained carrying permits.
Also, why was Kathy Strang searching through Nathan’s desk? Wasn’t she terminated? What type of vendetta might she have against Nathan?
“REAL POLITICIANS OF ALBANY” would make a great reality series.
YOU’LL NEVER HAVE TO worry about headlines with these idiots running this city.
THESE JOKERS NEVER CEASE to amaze me.
NOT HARD TO UNDERSTAND why Albany is losing population, is it? Fools at the rudder of the ship.
REGARDING AL LOTT’S RECOMMENDATION that Nathan Davis be fired, this whole world has just gone freakin insane.
ALFRED LOTT’S STATEMENT ABOUT Nathan Davis is inflammatory. If he accused me like that, I believe it might be cause for a lawsuit. M. King can get him some money, as he always gets the city to settle. Lott has cost the city how much in lawsuits? It’s time for the commissioners to do their job and send him packing. His hires don’t work out. How much did former police chief James Younger cost us?
HMMM … NOT GOOD. THE Utah door-to-door alarm salespeople sounds like ACORN to me.
THANKS FOR PUTTING THE word on the street about the controversial door-to-door alarm sales crew.
YOU WON’T FIND INFO like the Journal’s story on the door-to-door alarm salespeople. Thanks.
LEESBURG IS PROUD TONIGHT! Too bad Mediacom was running the WRONG SHOW and we missed it! Sorry, Luke!
REGARDING THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF Luke Bryan and Buster Posey, we are proud of hometown boys! Thanks for your hard work. It paid off last week.
LEESBURG’S CHOSEN CHRISTIAN ROCK Band has left for tour! They release their full-length album in the fall and are playing Cornerstone Music Festival on June 28.
I TALKED TO MY commissioner about Alfred Lott. I don’t know what he will do.
I REALLY LIKE THE Journal’s TV listings.
LOVE THE CROSSWORD!
I LIKE THE GOOD old days when the Journal had funny papers in it!
THEY NEED TO PUSH Mr. Mayor haaaard on the church scandal and demand clear answers. “Because I don’t want to” is unacceptable.
THE GBI NEEDS to investigate all of the city, including the police department. There will always be problems in the City of Albany because they are allowed to continue operating the way they do … under the radar … they have not been held accountable for their actions for many years.
NO, GBI IS PART of good ole boy network. I know this from experience. They often will not even take evidence when handed it! If federal funds are involved, then the FBI could be called in to investigate. There are lots of ways to skin the cat; use your heads.
ONE MORE TIME … THERE are NO rational leaders in Albany anymore!
I PRAY SO HARD for this city. Ugh.
THE MONEY NEEDS TO be pursued with Cutliff Grove – now. Or an alternative would be to take the money from the fund it was paid from initially — which is not local taxpayer money. Oh, and did you know the city later loaned the Cutliff pastor $100K to buy Aunt Fannies?

I think it is everyones right to carry a weapon, but not in a Gov. Building where if you or i did it we would be in jail.Nathan is no better than you and i.I do agree that al should have left Nathan’s son out of this. That was down right dirty. But you have to look at the source it came from.Al fights dirty. They all do.It time we all get together and do what we can to make Albany better. Our Officals will not.Just like the one group willing to try and make there neighborhood nicer, why would they have to ask for permission from people who dont give a hoot?I think what they are doing is great, and more people need to do it.One neighborhood that needs it bad is Turner Field. And i think John Howard would agree. But he has to know what we need, call him, write him,go see him.I know myself that there are drug dealers all in that area. They can rent a apartment for $250.00 a month, drive fine cars, but they dont crae about the neighborhood. And our drug Squad knows it s going on,I have called them myself. They say well we have to check things out.But yet i know of someone who just bought some property in albany, and found out there were durg dealers there, and you know what?Boom, there was a bust 2 nights later. We need more land lords like that here. And code inforcement could really do some good in the Turner Field area.It takes alot of people to come together and make a diffrence. But we also have to have Officals willing to do there Jobs.
