The Darton College Wetherbee Library recently held its 10th annual poetry contest for junior and senior high school students in Southwest Georgia. The winners are: SENIOR CATEGORY — first place, Deja Davi, Westover High, “Attack of the 5 foot (Hungry) Woman”; second place, Krystin Sanders, Pelham High, “Rain”; third place, Sharion Wimberly, Pelham High, “My flower grows”. JUNIOR CATEGORY — first place, Marshall Hill, Randol-Southern School, “Writer’s block inspired”; second place, Jala Cook, Pelham High School, “Bumblebees”; third place, Kirsten Beard, Randolph-Southern School, “Stand Tall”.
