ALBANY—Lee County native, Kali Eigenberg decided to stroke her way right to Darton. The Lee County high school stud will be signing a National Letter of Intent to continue her successful swimming career locally. Her signing will take place on Friday, May 7 at 3 pm the P.E. Building. Eigenburg qualified to swim at the state tournament all four of her years at Lee County. She was also a dual-sport athlete competing in softball and swimming.
“I am excited to see what she will bring to the table,” stated head coach Molly Gilbert. “I have followed her since I have been coaching at Darton. I know she is motivated, dedicated and such a driven student-athlete.”
“Having an indoor pool is such a great recruiting tool because the high schools compete here in January for a huge meet. They also practice in our facilities and it gives them the opportunity for them to see what we are blessed with,” said Gilbert.
Eigenberg is Gilbert’s first local signee as head coach.
