Bernice Kennedy of Murray Hill Lane in Albany grew this spectacular Easter cactus plant, starting it from a tiny clipping 15 years ago. “This active, vibrant 88-year-old lady grew this lush plant and has given away countless cuttings from it over the years to many people some of whom live in several different states,” said her friend, Rhonda Pate. “As you see from the photographs, it is amazingly beautiful.” Mrs. Kennedy says she has divided the plant at least three times, that she rarely fertilizes it, and that the Easter cactus seems to thrive from the morning sun.
