Have you ever wondered how the weekly DCSS Update comes together? Where all the stories and photos come from? The DCSS Update is a collaborative effort of a network of Publicity Representatives, one from each school, chosen specifically by their Principal as the “head cheerleader” for their location. These individuals give of their time above and beyond their daily duties in order to make sure that all the positive things happening every day in our school system are communicated to the public.
“I know of no other system that shares the volume of good news that we
share with the public and the world, thanks to our webmaster, Lana
Stuart, and these publicity coordinators,” said R. D. Harter, Public
Information Director. “Our web site and newsletter are perennial winners
of school communications association awards as some of the very best in
the state. The weekly Update e-newsletter is a vital part of our
communication strategy to keep everyone informed.”
The DCSS Public Information Office offers its thanks and deep
