First Baptist Church of Albany will hold its Girls in Action Recognition Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony, which follows a meal at 5:15 p.m., will recognize activities and studies of missions that participating girls in grades 1-6 have completed throughout the year. First Baptist Church of Albany’s Young Musicians and Music Makers will present the musical “Back at the Creekbank” at 5:30 p.m.
Albany-area churches of various denominations will host a neighbor-to-neighbor giveaway at Thronateeska Heritage Center. New and gently used clothing, shoes and other items will be given away and additional churches are invited to participate. First Baptist Church of Albany’s Music Ministry will present Spring Spectacular at 6:30 p.m. Accompanied by First Baptist’s House Band, the informal worship event will feature a combined choir consisting of First Baptist’s Youth, Adult and Senior Adult choirs singing familiar songs of the faith, or sugarsticks, such as “Do Lord,” “I’m in the Lord’s Army,” “Jesus Loves Me” and “The B-I-B-L-E.” Spring Spectacular will follow a meal, which begins at 5:15 p.m.
