GHSA State Track Meet

Westover High School pole vaulter Alysia Potts, who finished fourth in the AAA classification with a school-record vault of 9 feet, 6 inches, competes in last weekend’s Girls Georgia High School Association Track and Field Championships a Hugh Mills Stadium. Monroe, led by its 400-meter team, which received the Best Performnce Award for the meeting, won the AAA title for the second straight year — a farewell present for coach Octavia Jones, who is leaving the school to coach Westover’s football team.
