Alice Barrett, wife of former Dougherty County Commission chairman, dies

Tweet Alice Norris Barrett, 90, of Albany, died Monday, April 19, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Her funeral service will be FRIDAY 11 AM at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.  The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate.

Tweet Dougherty County Commission Chairman Jeff Sinyard (right) was only needling his protege/predecessor, Lamar Reese, when Sinyard blamed his political adventure on Reese. The two shared this laugh Wednesday at the Albany-Dougherty Government Center after Sinyard announcced that he would seek a third term.
