The Albany Chorale’s final concert of the 2009-2010 concert season will be I Remember Love on April 10. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with a silent auction with hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The concert begins at 8 p.m. on the main stage at Theatre Albany, 514 Pine Ave..
“The theme of this concert is the many aspects of love. We will take you on the journey of finding love, losing love, restoring love and living happily ever after,” stated artistic director, Keith Walker. The music selections are taken from recent Broadway shows, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, and The Glorious Ones. In addition to the selections from the Great White Way, Chorale members will also present popular standards recorded by Frank Sinatra, the Judds, Michael Buble, Ricky Martin, Etta James, Peggy Lee and Freddie Mercury.
The program will feature dancers from the Darton College Dance Department and Darton College Dancing Cavaliers (DCDC) under the direction of Jennifer DeBritton with performance by Crystal Barber, Haley Canady, DuBois Crockrom, Kelly Glass, Jaleesa Griner, Shatiabricha Knighton, and Megan Weeks.
